My Story

Welcome to One day at a time, I created this group as i am currently in a similar situation with my dad. My dad is currently in his 3rd year of being diagonosed with vascular dementia and alzhimers. In the begining we struggled as a family as we were not aware of the support and guidance that was available at the time. I want to help and support others going through similar situations and not to feel alone and isolated.

What we offer

At One day at a time, we offer free sessions twice a month at inspire community cafe. We offer a safe, welcoming space for carers to come together and connect with others who understand. Each session provides an opportunity to talk about experiences, challenges, and coping strategies related to caring for someone with dementia. Carers are free to share as much or as little as they feel comfortable with. Listening is just as valued speaking.

Where to find us

You can find us at inspire community cafe CH44 3BD on breck Road
